What does Chi Alpha involve?
There are no dues to pay or membership forms to fill out, all you have to do is come to Chi Alpha and you have "joined".
Weekly meetings are held Tuesday nights at 7 PM in RSC Room 203. This weekly service consists primarily of worship with modern music, a Biblically based message about issues that college students regularly face, and prayer. After service, a nearby restaurant is selected each week where most everyone goes after the service to get to know one another better. For more details, click on the calendar link and then click on "Weekly Meeting".
Small groups are a very important component of Chi Alpha. This is where the deepest friendships are formed, as students spend time together "in the trenches" of life. Small groups are led by more experienced, spiritually mature students who have been through a special training class and receive ongoing training through their own special small group called a resource group. Student leaders hold a weekly meeting of their entire group and spend time hanging out with each group member individually. Small groups are about living life side-by-side with the unconditional love that God created us to have for one another.
There are also plenty of other chances to hang out throughout the week and at special events. You can click on the calendar link for a current list of events. Be sure to click on the specific event on the calendar so that you can view more detailed information about each event.
